Discrete-Time Network and State Equation Methods Applied to Computational Electromagnetics

چکیده
The representation of electromagnetic structures by lumped element circuits is revisited. Network models can be established by a subsequent application of system identification and circuit synthesis methods to data obtained by numerical simulation or from measurement. Network models provide a compact description of electromagnetic structures and can contribute significantly to the formulation of electromagnetic field problems and their efficient solution. On the field level network methods are introduced by segmentation of the electromagnetic structures and application of the field form of Tellegen’s theorem. Methods for synthesis of lumped element models for lossless as well as lossy linear reciprocal multiports and for radiating structures are discussed. The state equation method as a general framework for lumped element network description is presented. Discrete time representations on the basis of Richards transformation and wave digital filter formulation are introduced.

ANALYSIS OF A DISCRETE-TIME IMPATIENT CUSTOMER QUEUE WITH BERNOULLI-SCHEDULE VACATION INTERRUPTION
This paper investigates a discrete-time impatient customer queue with Bernoulli-schedule vacation interruption. The vacation times and the service times during regular busy period and during working vacation period are assumed to follow geometric distribution. We obtain the steady-state probabilities at arbitrary and outside observer's observation epochs using recursive technique. Cost analysi...
متن کاملAnalytical and Verified Numerical Results Concerning Interval Continuous-time Algebraic Riccati Equations
This paper focuses on studying the interval continuous-time algebraic Riccati equation A∗X + XA + Q − XGX = 0, both from the theoretical aspects and the computational ones. In theoretical parts, we show that Shary’s results for interval linear systems can only be partially generalized to this interval Riccati matrix equation. We then derive an efficient technique for enclosing the united stable...
متن کاملEffect of Stress-Fiber Inclusion on the Local Stiffness of Cell Cytoskeleton Probed by AFM Indentation: Insights from a Discrete Network Model
In this paper, we analyze the effect of stress-fiber inclusion on the stiffness of an actin random network. To do this, use a discrete random network model to analyze the elastic response of this system in terms of apparent Young’s modulus. First, we showed that for a flat-ended cylindrical AFM indenter the total indentation force has a linear relation with the indentation depth and the indente...

متن کاملOptimal Finite-time Control of Positive Linear Discrete-time Systems
This paper considers solving optimization problem for linear discrete time systems such that closed-loop discrete-time system is positive (i.e., all of its state variables have non-negative values) and also finite-time stable. For this purpose, by considering a quadratic cost function, an optimal controller is designed such that in addition to minimizing the cost function, the positivity proper...
